Coffee's never BEAN so good!

So, I watched the Colbert Report last night....I laughed so hard I cried, and almost peed! I have been making my own coffee at home but haven't bought a mocha in a while (not an easy thing for me), so when I saw Colbert's sketch on the early morning 3 hr delay of Starbucks opening ...and how this affected him....well let's just say: I RELATE! You can check it out on his site (the link to the show is on my page), last I checked it was in the upper right corner of the show's page under Critical Colbert. It will say something about threatdown or starbucks or coffee crisis. Hilarious. Well, I am trying to get packed for my trip to Texas and make sure the house is all picked up & stuff. I got my toes painted- a color I've never done before: blue/ stars....in honor of my brother in the NAVY who also is in Texas...and I hear the stars @ night are big and bright there! Get it? Of course you do! Anyone gonna go see the movie Penelope? I think I'm taking my girls one of these next couple days. Looks cute to me.

Well it was a great day all around for us. The kids and dogs played outside (...I think I got a bit of sun on my scalp). Jacob had baseball tryouts. Solon bought a new G string ( at the MUSIC store....to replace the broken one on his GUITAR)! I also got my birthday present early : a flash for my camera. So, then I made some porkchops (minus the applesauce) for dinner, and after dinner I took my oldest to the book store to spend the last of her gift cert. She picked a book to help her draw Manga style...or Japanese anime. I might try a character or two myself...?

Happy Birthday!

Today is Kaleb A's birthday(here he is w/ his family minus their oldest child, to the right. A link to his blog is on my page)! He is a wonderful husband to my best friend, a great dad, an awesome teacher, and he's been a good friend to me and my family. SO: Happy Birthday Kaleb! I'm sorry we had to cancel our get together this evening due to my family's sickies.

Also a Happy belated B-day to our friends (the Rubio's) girls. We were looking forward to a party this afternoon w/ them but our sickies are keeping us home. I hope we get better soon so we can reschedule celebrating w/ everyone!

Our V- day is pretty nice here. Not only did Solon and I celebrate early, so did Alyssa's class. I went to her party on Mon. Only Jake has his class party today, it was fun decorating his simile valentine mailbox"Dangerous as Dinosaurs". Julie's block class is not having a party, but Julie hopes to see her valentine at youth group tonight. My honey gave me flowers this morning, and I had lunch with him and his other valentine- Ricardo! Now how about the weather?! Finally a bit of sun! I look forward to watching Survivor tonight too.

In the begining.....

Hmm...first entry: Solon & I went to U2 3D last Wed. It would've been better than a concert, if you didn't have to keep yourself contained! What can I say...I'm STILL a fan, and it was so realistic! It was an early Valentines day celebration to avoid crowds at restaraunts (does that sound like Solon or what?). Ohh, I also went to my first presidential caucus. Interesting. So, I guess that's it for now-check back soon.
